HIATUS AVESSO & LOUREIRO 2020 ESCOLHA
White Vinho Verde DOC
Vinhos Verdes Region, Baião Sub-Region
Varieties: 70% Avesso & 30% Loureiro
Winemaker: Fernando Moura
THE WINE
This wine represents the best of the Baiao sub-region, the area between the cool, rainy Minho (Vinho Verde ) and the dry, hot Douro Valley. It brings you the sum of these two worlds and you’ll find it fresh and light like a Vinho Verde and of solid structured like a Douro wine. The grape variety Loureiro provides it with fine aromatic fruitiness whereas the Avesso grapes bring it good structure, volume in the mouth and long finish. We add nothing to our wines that might change their nature.

THE WINE
This wine shows the character and complexity of the Alvarinho grape variety in the Vinho Verde region. The sub-region Baiao, where its grapes originate is influenced by the coolness of the Atlantic Ocean, yet close enough to the Douro valley that its temperatures are high and its humidity low.
